Altman Foundation Welcomes New Trustee

We are pleased to announce that Lisa Hinds was elected to the Altman Foundation Board of Trustees in April 2020.

Lisa Hinds is a Senior Vice President at EnTrust Global, one of the world’s largest hedge fund investors. With over $19 billion in assets, she manages the endowment and foundation channel for all alternative investment products, globally. Previously, she led corporate development and client portfolio management for a distressed securities hedge fund. Ms. Hinds has served in senior relationship management, institutional trading, and investment capacities at Morgan Stanley, Standard and Poors, and Bear Stearns. She started her career in the Financial Management Program at GE Capital.

Ms. Hinds has a distinguished record of public service. She currently serves as a Board Vice Chair and Investment Committee Chair of the United Church Funds, the institutional investment ministry of the national churches of the United Church of Christ. UCF manages over $800 million of endowment assets, managed for both superior financial and social returns. The impact investment themes captured in the portfolio include education, job creation, and climate change. She is a co-author of the book Faithful Investing: The Power of Decisive Action and Incremental Change (Church Publishing Incorporated, December 2019). From 2012 -2018 Ms. Hinds was a deacon, trustee, and member of the Church Council of The Riverside Church in the City of New York. She is the immediate past chair of the investment committee of the Riverside Church Endowment. The $180 million endowment portfolio invests in a variety of asset classes across the capital structure. In response to a collective call for mission related investing, she authored and executed “Justice Based Investing” which provides a framework for the integration of justice in a balanced portfolio. As the former chair of Riverside’s Stewardship Committee, she led fundraising efforts both internally and externally that seeded the launch of its affiliated Community Services Corporation.

Ms. Hinds holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University. Her FINRA securities licensure includes NASD Series 7 and 63, as well as the SFA (United Kingdom). She is a member of the Hedge Fund Association, High Water Women, and 100 Women in Finance. She is a proud ‘Goalie Mom’ road tripping nationally for girls’ lacrosse.
